Haines to begin practicing at Ellinwood Hospital Clinic
Diane Haines, APRN, of Ellinwood will be joining the Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic family in October. She will be providing family care services at the Ellinwood Hospital Clinic on Mondays and Fridays and will serve as an Emergency Room provider at the Hospital, as well. She has begun accepting and scheduling patients, with appointments beginning October 2.
Haines was raised in the Claflin area, and knew from a young age what she wanted to do in life. “I grew up knowing I wanted to be a nurse,” she explains. “I still love being a nurse, and I especially enjoy my expanded role as a Nurse Practioner.”
One of her jobs as a new nurse was at Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic, so coming back to practice here was easy, she says. “I am excited to be able to practice in Ellinwood. It is always a pleasure to serve my friends and family.”
Haines was in the first graduating class of nurses at Barton County Community College, where she received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN). She later went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science (BSN) degree from Newman University and the Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree of a Family Nurse Practitioner at Fort Hays State University.
Most recently, Haines has worked at Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility and Ellsworth Correctional Facility.
Haines lives in Ellinwood, and has been married to her husband, Steven, for 20 years. They have three children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading all types of literature and doing crossword puzzles.
